Description of assignment

Within Site Management we install our Baggage Handling Systems globally. Installation needs to be done safely, on time, correctly, according to process and we need to deliver the agreed documentation/deliverables. What are the bottlenecks on site and how can we make this visual?

For this DUO assignment there are two business cases:

Case 1

Investigate what bottlenecks occur during the installation with the current tooling, within our installation processes and how this affects our data. Determine what is needed to improve and correct, so these bottlenecks can be visualized.

Case 2

Define what data is needed to create a good visualization of what is happening on site. Compare what data is already available and used with what can be visualized in PowerBI dashboards, and how management can monitor projects better.

Department description

Both interns are expected to work in Veghel and divide the cases, workload and final assignment. The goal is a running dashboard where both cases come together, enabling better project monitoring and action on flaws in the processes.

The interns will work closely together with Site Managers and Supervisors, as well as other internal departments and IT.

Tasks/responsibilities

  • Conduct an in-depth investigation into the installation process and deliverables.
  • Provide recommendations on the tools used and the data that can be leveraged.
  • Investigate dashboarding and make project performance visual (PowerBI).

Your profile

  • At least one intern with strong PowerBI skills.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Data-driven and process-minded.
  • Hands-on mindset with a focus on delivering results, including a functioning dashboard.
  • Strong collaboration skills between interns across both cases.
  • *Mandatory enrolment in a Dutch education system & resident of The Netherlands
