Jigsaw Trust is a registered charity (Charity No. 1075464) that was established in 1999 by a group of parents of children diagnosed with autism.
The aim of Jigsaw Trust is to improve the lives of those affected by autism through the provision of high quality, accessible, educational, vocational and well-being services.
In 1999, Jigsaw Trust raised enough funds to set up Jigsaw CABAS® School, opening its doors to six children. Today the school has provision for up to 60 pupils aged 4 to 19 years, and was once again rated Outstanding by Ofsted in October 2016.
In 2012, Jigsaw+ was founded, as Jigsaw Trust sought to expand its range of services to include adults. The Centre for Lifelong Learning was officially opened in April 2013.
In 2013, Café on the Park was opened. The Café is a not for profit business owned by Jigsaw Trust to enable our clients to undertake real work experience and develop valuable life skills in a caring and supportive environment.
Jigsaw Trust is committed to the continuous development of all individuals.
There is a comprehensive study programme on offer to all Teaching Staff at Jigsaw CABAS® School and available to Learning Support Workers at Jigsaw+ . In addition to this, there is an extensive programme of personal development training available which all staff are actively encouraged to participate in.
The CABAS® teaching qualification is a nationally recognised certification.
Our philosophy is on developing the individual and we recognise that training needs will differ from person to person. We offer a number of career paths to meet these needs and we are happy to help you choose the right career at Jigsaw.
