What You'll Do

As a hands-on GenAI expert in The AI Platforms Group, you will help design and build AI platforms for global clients. The AI Platforms Group is BCG's global centre for the design and build of AI platforms, headquartered in London, serving clients with industry insights, solution design, platform choice, technology strategy, and AI/GenAI build.

As an AI Solution Architect within the AI Platforms Group, you will work closely with clients to understand their challenges, design cutting-edge AI platforms, and develop strategic technology solutions that elevate their use of AI and machine learning through Generative AI.

You will craft impactful solutions and build support for your ideas, working alongside BCG case team members to turn client potential into tangible outcomes. You will partner with a diverse range of international clients to enhance their AI and machine learning capabilities with Generative AI.

This is a hybrid role combining deep architecture expertise with hands-on execution experience building solutions—blending elements of a traditional Solution Architect and an AI Engineer. You will address complex business issues using state-of-the-art Generative AI and advanced machine learning techniques.

You will design, develop, and implement strategic AI architecture solutions, integrating these technologies into existing enterprise frameworks, and collaborate with world-class clients on pioneering AI projects in an environment that supports creativity and intellectual growth.

What You'll Bring

• A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, preferably with a focus on artificial intelligence, machine learning, or data science
• Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and deploying AI systems
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScipt, TypeScript, or R, and familiarity with AI development tools and libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain or LlamaIndex
• Knowledge of vector databases and data platforms
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects, manage teams, and drive projects to completion under tight deadlines (management of teams is only required for Lead Architect level and not for Architect or Senior Architect levels)
• Ability to own problems end-to-end, and willingness to pick up whatever knowledge you're missing to get the job done to ensure both your team and our clients succeed
• Proficiency in explaining complex AI concepts to non-experts and effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Skills in designing data models and architectures that support large-scale AI applications
• Understanding of and commitment to ethical AI development, including issues of bias, fairness, and transparency
