In the Development Centre Distribution, we have a position available for an Electrical Design and Modularization Lead Engineer in the Parcel Solutions Modularization and Deployment team. We’ll give you the opportunity to work in an inspiring and challenging work environment as linking pin between Technology (R&D) equipment development teams and project execution teams responsible for customer projects.
Your department
The Parcel Solutions, Modularization & Deployment team is an expert team of multidisciplinary product managers, development-, Industrialization- and deployment engineers for building mechatronics and controls solutions for Parcel systems. We implement equipment solutions into multidisciplinary (Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical and PLC software) modularized building blocks (prepare for organizational readiness) to enable project engineering teams to execute high-end global parcel sortation systems with high quality.
Next to adaptation of new equipment and functions, we continuously looking for both product and engineering improvements in close collaboration with other Technology teams and Engineering, closing the loop between development and Project Execution.
Your position
As Electrical Design and Modularization Lead Engineer, you’ll have a key role in integrating the electrical content of equipment into multidisciplinary and highly standardized design- and library deliverables to enable engineering to generate highly standardized modules in high volume into Global Parcel sortation systems. This includes design documentation, drawings, templates, Electro-Mechanical architecture, and Library files, enabling the engineering department to generate project deliverables (e.g. EPlan single line drawings, Electrical (ACAD) layouts, power and data calculations and EM bill of material) in the most efficient way.
You will lead from a functional level the EM discipline within the Parcel solutions, Modularization & Deployment team and will be the main point of contact for architectural, planning, deployment and quality topics.
The work is constantly evolving based on new equipment developments, changing legislation (e.g. Machine Regulations, Cyber Security and energy reduction) and project/customer needs.
To make your work even more challenging, together with your colleagues you will participate in continuous improvement projects linked to our improvement strategy and program.
We use all the functionality of AutoCAD and EPLAN/Propanel, supported by our own developed productivity tooling to enable a predictable and reproducible execution of the engineering process.
