Join our science & research team as a Senior Technician working side by side with other technicians and scientists in the field of Analytical Sciences in Delft, The Netherlands. Our team develops and implements (high throughput) NMR based methods to analyze metabolites, lipids, proteins and carbohydrates in complex microbial and food matrices.

Your key responsibilities

  • Operate independently NMR instruments in a safe manner and coordinate maintenance.
  • Accurately prepare, plan and conduct analyses according to a defined method of analysis including sample preparation.
  • Process and interpret the NMR spectra using dedicated software packages.
  • Report, present and discuss results with scientists and team members.

You bring

  • Master, bachelor or HBO degree in Analytical Sciences, or related sciences, with demonstrable knowledge on NMR spectroscopy.
  • Affinity with operating and maintaining high-end instruments, such as Bruker NMR spectrometers.
  • Affinity using software packages such as Bruker Topspin and MestreNova NMR for spectral analyses.
  • Affinity with programming languages and lab automation (e.g. liquid handling platforms) is an asset.
  • A high degree of ownership and independence in lab work and reporting of data.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and comfortable in expressing yourself in English.
