Cyber Defense Manager

Job Description

In this role, you will work as a Cyber Defense Manager, taking a leading role in transforming and maturing clients' Cyber Defense capabilities. With a strong background in cybersecurity — including at least 8+ years of experience, of which at least one year in a leadership or managerial position — you will independently advise organizations on Security Operations transformation, SOC modernization, and Managed Extended Detection and Response (MxDR) solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Advisory:

• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders on Cyber Defense strategy, SOC transformation, and MxDR adoption.
• Assess existing Security Operations capabilities and define target operating models, maturity roadmaps, and improvement initiatives.
• Guide clients in optimizing detection engineering, threat analytics, automation, and SOC operating processes.

Leadership & Team Management:

• Lead project teams in delivering Cyber Defense transformations and managed detection services.
• Mentor junior and mid-level team members, helping them develop their technical, advisory, and consulting skills.

Business Development & Market Growth:

• Drive business development by identifying opportunities, building client relationships, and supporting sales cycles.
• Lead or support responses to Requests for Proposal (RfPs) and craft compelling solution narratives for Cyber Defense opportunities.
