About the job

As a Scrum Master you will work in multidisciplinary Agile teams. These teams develop and test the infrastructure platform for the combat management systems. The development teams are responsible for the entire development chain - requirements analysis, development, integration, testing, validation and demonstrating the current status of the product. The infrastructure we are currently developing will be the basis of our products for the next 30 years.

As Scrum Master you have knowledge of Agile principles and the Scaled Scrum process framework and you know how to implement these. You act as a mentor/coach and you are capable of getting the most out of the people in the team and the team as whole. The Scrum Master works as a facilitator, is pro-active and has the agility to react on changing circumstances.

Relevant Experiences

You are an experienced Scrum Master. Driven and result oriented. You drive for results by focusing on the human side and strengthen responsibility and involvement with your team mates. You have experience in:

  • Agile Methodologies: Deep understanding of Large-Scale Agile frameworks, particularly SAFE, including roles, events, and artifacts. Proficiency in implementing and managing Scrum processes such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Tool Proficiency: Expertise in using Agile project management tools like Jira, Trello, or Azure DevOps to track progress and manage backlogs together with the Product Owner.
  • Data Analysis: Ability to analyze and interpret data from sprint metrics, burndown & -up charts, and velocity reports to improve team performance.
  • Facilitation: Skill in facilitating meetings, workshops, and discussions to foster collaboration, foster problem-solving and promote continuous improvement.
  • Conflict Resolution: Knowledge of techniques for resolving conflicts within teams to maintain productivity.
  • Coaching: Coach and develop teams and product owners in self-organization.
  • Documentation: Ability to create and maintain clear documentation for processes, decisions, and project progress.
  • Backlog Management: Vigilance in safeguarding the Sprint Backlog, ensuring that only prioritized work items are included and that the team can deliver the committed work without scope creep and in time.

An important requirement to fulfil this role, is flexibility and the ability to communicate fluently in English to all types of stakeholders (technical, management). You hold a bachelor or master degree in computer science, IT service management or comparable.
