IT Legal Counsel

Capgemini Netherlands is looking for a mid-level to senior IT Legal Counsel to join our dynamic legal team in Utrecht (hybrid). In this role, you’ll be deeply involved in commercial projects from the start, advising on IT contracts, licensing, and regulatory matters. You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams and help shape the legal foundation of our business operations.

Your job in a paragraph

As an experienced IT Legal Counsel at Capgemini Netherlands, you are a key legal advisor embedded in the heart of the business while reporting into the legal team under the supervision and management of the Deputy General Counsel. You’ll be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial contracts, particularly in the IT and technology domain. You’ll provide strategic legal advice on tenders, licensing, and regulatory compliance, translating legal risks into actionable business insights. Your role goes beyond traditional legal support—you’ll be involved in commercial decision-making, innovation initiatives (including AI), and cross-functional collaboration. With your business-oriented mindset and legal expertise, you’ll help drive Capgemini’s success in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.

• You have 4–7 years of experience as an attorney or in-house legal counsel.
• You have experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts with precision and strategic insight, in a solution-oriented approach.
• You’re well-versed in IT licensing and services agreements and understand the nuances of technology-driven legal frameworks.
• You bring a strong understanding of regulatory compliance within the IT and Telco sectors.
• You’re confident providing legal support during tender procedures, ensuring both commercial and legal interests are protected.
• You excel at translating complex legal risks into clear, actionable business strategies.
• You’re passionate about innovation and eager to contribute to initiatives involving emerging technologies, including AI.
• You are fluent in both Dutch and English and want to work in an international environment.
