Allseas is seeking an experienced Senior E&I Engineer to join its Innovations Department in Delft. The role involves concept and detailed engineering, commissioning of automation and electrical systems, and working on innovative offshore projects.

Your role

The Innovations Department is focussed on developing innovative new solutions and processes that allows Allseas to stay ahead of the game. The E&I Unit is currently working on three new vessels, the hybridisation of our in-house developed fleet, preparing our off-shore production equipment for a new era of industrial automation and the development of new equipment for Allseas’ sub-sea activities.

In each of these projects, E&I Engineers analyse both the power and automation needs and are responsible for the design and implementation of suitable hardware solutions. Furthermore, E&I Engineers ensure that all sub-components for these projects are correctly specified, designed and built and that they can function together as one single system. Lastly, E&I Engineers are involved during the installation and commissioning phases of the project, requiring them to visit our vessels World-wide.

You will join a team-minded and energetic department with committed professional colleagues. You will work in a dynamic, world-leading offshore company, with short communication lines. To be successful in this role, you have a hands-on mentality, are efficiency driven and thrive by working independently, accepting ownership of assigned responsibilities, as well as in a team.

What we expect from you

  • You have a BSc or MSc degree in Electrical Engineering;
  • You have a minimum of 7 years’ work experience as Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer or similar;
  • You have proven knowledge of the Lloyds and/or DNV Rules and Regulations for the Classification of Ships;
  • You have affinity with technology in general;
  • You have the soft skills to take the lead in your own (sub-)projects;
  • You have hands-on practical electrical troubleshooting experience;
  • You have experience with Siemens and/or Kongsberg Automation hardware.
