We’re looking for a seasoned Product Owner to help shape one of the most important parts of the platform. You’ll work on complex areas such as product listings, smart custom fields, and marketplace connections, with plenty of opportunities to influence how we evolve—from improving usability to guiding how we apply AI in meaningful ways 🤖 This is a hands-on role that calls for strategic product thinking, where your ideas can genuinely shape how we work and how thousands of customers experience our product 🌍

What will you do as a Product Owner?

As a Product Owner, you’ll take full ownership of the product listings domain, working closely with the development team to refine and prioritise the backlog, shape business epics and stories, and translate complex requirements into clear, functional designs. You’ll guide the development of key capabilities such as smart custom fields, including ongoing AI enhancements, and ensure smooth integrations with major marketplaces like Bol. You’ll support the team throughout each sprint, providing clarification, managing scope, reviewing completed work, and contributing to retrospectives.

Alongside this, you’ll help drive improvements to one of our most powerful yet challenging areas of the platform, partnering with UX to deliver meaningful usability upgrades. You’ll also play a part in strengthening ways of working within the product organisation by aligning with other Product Owners, bringing structure where needed, and contributing to a mature, collaborative team culture.

What makes you the ideal Product Owner?

  • At least 5 years’ experience as an IT Business Analyst, Technical Product Owner, or Project Manager within B2B SaaS development
  • Strong product ownership fundamentals: proven ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
  • Experience conducting customer discovery and validating problems before building solutions
  • Track record of defining success metrics and using data to inform product decisions
  • Agile/SCRUM experience with ability to run a product area independently
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and business audiences
  • Living within commuting distance of Leiden

Nice-to-have

  • E-commerce or marketplace experience (major plus—you will ramp up faster)
  • Technical depth in software development, APIs, integrations, and/or platform architecture
  • Experience with AI/ML product features
  • PSPO or similar Product Owner certification
