Job Description

As Team Leader Assembly at NTS Hengelo, you lead the Fine Mechanical Assembly team that mainly works in our cleanroom. The team consists of approximately 25 colleagues, including two team coaches who take care of the daily direct management on the work floor. As Team Manager, you are responsible for leading, coaching, and developing the entire team, ensuring that employees can perform their work with pleasure, craftsmanship, and in a safe environment.

Additionally, you play an important role in the continuity and improvement of our (assembly) processes. You monitor and optimize performance in terms of Quality, Logistics, Technology & Cost (QLTC), thereby directly contributing to customer satisfaction and the success of NTS Hengelo.

Your tasks include:

• Leading, coaching, and developing the team (25 FTE) including two team coaches;
• Creating a safe, pleasant, and results-oriented working environment in the cleanroom;
• Focusing on quality, yield, lead times, and delivery reliability;
• Identifying and implementing improvement proposals, such as continuous improvement and a lean mindset;
• Closely collaborating with various internal departments, including: work preparation, planning, Supply Chain, product management, and NPI project managers;
• Thinking along and contributing to strategic choices and the direction of the department;
• You report to the Manager Operations.

Requirements

• HBO level of education, preferably in a technical field;
• Experience as a leader in a production or manufacturing environment (experience with fine mechanical assembly in a cleanroom is a strong advantage);
• Experience in leading larger teams and coaching team leads/coaches;
• Knowledge of QLTC and continuous improvement (lean/six sigma experience is a plus);
• Strategically strong but also practical and hands-on oriented;
• Communicative, decisive, and connecting;
• Good command of the Dutch and English language.
