Success calls for explaining highly technical security risks in plain language that resonates with stakeholders at all levels. What You Do as Security Lead

As a captain of the SecOps team, you’ll initiate and drive security initiatives that protect our platform without impeding either business growth or innovation velocity. Working alongside security engineers, IT professionals, and business leaders, you’ll manage security operations that effortlessly scale with our ambitions. You’ll translate security risks into prioritized action plans, ensuring alignment between security objectives and business goals. From refining incident response protocols to advancing security automation, you’ll optimize how we detect, respond to, and prevent threats. Your ability to cut through complexity and focus on what matters most will be essential in maintaining our security posture without hampering innovation.

A crucial part of your role involves proactive stakeholder management – keeping leadership informed without overwhelming them with technical details and helping engineering teams understand security implications without dictating solutions. You’ll champion security best practices while respecting team autonomy, cultivating an environment where security isn’t ‘just’ on everyone’s checklist but is a shared philosophy. In brief:

With 3+ years of experience in security operations and/or leadership roles, you master both the technical and organizational aspects of security at scale. Your structured approach to problem-solving enables you to break down complex security challenges into manageable components. Experience with cloud environments and security monitoring tools is essential, as is staying current with emerging threats and industry trends.
