Every day, we strive to develop, produce, and sell products and services that are affordable and accessible to everyone. With us, you contribute to building a democratic brand and workplace that has a positive impact on both the planet and people's lives.

The Meet & Travel Leader sits within Business Steering, Finance and Workplace Operations in Enabling Functions and reports to the Business Steering & Finance Manager. The team provides direction, governance, insights and operational foundations that support effective ways of working, informed decisions and sustainable business performance across Inter IKEA.

About the role

The Meet & Travel Leader is responsible for creating the right conditions for people to meet, collaborate, and travel in ways that are simple, responsible, and effective. You will set the global direction while working closely with local business units, travel specialists, suppliers, and key functions across Inter IKEA.

Using data, insights and strong partnerships, you will balance business needs, cost, sustainability, user experience, duty of care and compliance.

On a typical working day, you will:

  • Lead the development and implementation of the global Inter IKEA meet and travel program, ensuring it meets business needs today and tomorrow.
  • Define and follow up relevant KPIs and insights related to cost efficiency, policy compliance, sustainability, supplier performance and user experience.
  • Maintain and develop the Inter IKEA Group policy on meet and travel, ensuring it remains relevant, clear and aligned with business needs.
  • Support local business units and travel specialists with frameworks, tools and guidance that balance global direction with local requirements.
  • Lead supplier governance by following up contractual performance, driving business reviews and identifying opportunities to increase value and reduce risk.
  • Work closely with colleagues in Risk, Compliance, Legal, Sustainability, Communication and other relevant functions to secure aligned and compliant ways of working.
  • Promote more sustainable travel and meeting choices without compromising business effectiveness or duty of care.
  • Identify and drive improvements in processes, tools, guidance and ways of working to strengthen competence, simplify the user journey, and improve the end-to-end performance of the program.

What we’d like you to bring to the table

The role as Meet & Travel Leader requires you to have:

  • Strong experience in leading a travel or meet and travel program within a large, global organisation.
  • Good knowledge of business travel, meetings, supplier ecosystems, travel technology and service models.
  • Experience in supplier governance, including contractual performance, business reviews, and continuous improvement.
  • Good understanding of policy development, compliance, duty of care, health and safety, and travel-related risk requirements.
  • Ability to use data, insights and performance measures to guide decisions, follow up results and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ability to navigate and act on strategic, tactical and operational levels, while keeping a holistic view of the business.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to build trust, develop networks and engage stakeholders across functions, countries and organisational levels.
  • Ability to lead the unknown and move forward with flexibility, speed, and simplicity in a changing environment.
  • A strong motivation to create business value and develop solutions based on evolving business needs.

It’s a plus if you also have:

  • A good understanding of IKEA direction, culture, values and strategic frameworks
