HEINEKEN is looking for you! Internship Global Paper Packaging Procurement – February 2027

  • Amsterdam, Netherlands
  • Procurement

The internship

Working closely with the Category Leader Paper Packaging, you will:

  • Support sourcing projects by analysing what packaging should cost, from raw materials to production.
  • Develop business cases for productivity and transformation initiatives.

You’ll take ownership of your projects, with guidance from the team and space to bring your own ideas

The department

You’ll join a four-person Paper Packaging team within HEINEKEN Global Procurement, responsible for sourcing paper packaging for more than 70 countries. From labels to corrugated and multipacks, you’ll explore how materials, production processes and supplier choices influence cost and supply. It’s a small team with a global reach—and an opportunity to see how local business needs are translated into international sourcing decisions

During your internship, you’ll have every opportunity to get to know HEINEKEN as an organization, not just within your own team, but across departments. We trust and empower you to work with an entrepreneurial mindset. At HEINEKEN, we love bringing the outside world in and welcome fresh, new ideas with open arms. Of course, we’ll make sure you get the guidance that suits you.

What a day in the internship could look like

Ever wondered how the labels, corrugated and multipacks on supermarket shelves come together? Start your day with the Paper Packaging team, then join a supplier call or explore how a smarter packaging design could reduce costs and create value for the business. After lunch with colleagues, you might test how AI could help prepare a negotiation or share your findings with procurement colleagues in another country. Bring your curiosity—we’ll help you turn fresh ideas into practical solutions.
