As a Senior AI Enablement Engineer, you help software teams use AI thoughtfully in their daily work. You combine technical understanding with the ability to guide people through change. In one assignment, you may build or test an AI-supported workflow yourself. In another, you may help a team work through uncertainty, organize a workshop, or turn promising experiments into an approach that works in practice.
- Groenlo, Netherlands.
- 32–38 hours per week.
- Hybrid (remote) working is common at Nedap.
- You will be present at our Campus in Groenlo at least two days a week.
- The range for this role is € 5000 - € 7000 gross per month based on full-time employment (38 hours).
What are you going to do?
AI is changing how software teams explore ideas, develop products, test quality, and learn from their work. At Nedap, we want to turn that change into practice. Not by prescribing a single tool or way of working, but by helping teams discover what works in their context and build new habits around it.
Your responsibilities
You take the lead on AI enablement within a business unit. You bring together developers, technical experts, and other colleagues who need to be involved, identify where progress is needed, and determine the next step that will help teams move forward. In doing so, you help turn AI from isolated experiments into a way of working that demonstrably strengthens software teams.
You will:
Explore practical applications
- Work with developers to identify where AI can improve development, testing, delivery, or collaboration.
Help change take hold
- Support teams as they adopt new habits, make concerns discussable, and make choices that fit their context.
Build where it helps
- Create prototypes, workflows, or tooling yourself when hands-on engineering is the best way to move an idea forward.
Create learning opportunities
- Use workshops, training sessions, coaching, and clear examples to help colleagues gain confidence in working with AI.
Keep the bigger picture in view
- Help teams look beyond individual features and consider product quality, customer outcomes, and sustainable ways of working.
Your team
You will join the AI Enablement team, where technical curiosity and practical progress come together. You will work closely with another interim AI Enablement Engineer, the Product Owner, AI Engineers, and colleagues from different teams and business units. Together, you explore what AI can mean in practice for software teams at Nedap. You combine experimentation and building with learning from teams. You build on what works and adjust what does not.
You will have the space to bring your own expertise and approach, while working with colleagues who contribute to AI from different perspectives. Step by step, you will help develop ways of working that genuinely help teams move forward.
What's in it for you?
We have the ambition and the opportunity to shape the future. And we need people with the drive to turn that into meaningful impact. You get the chance to contribute to something truly unique, alongside more than 1,000 driven and like-minded colleagues.
- Compensation. Matching your knowledge and experience. The range for this role is € 5000 - € 7000 gross per month based on full-time employment (38 hours).
- Financial benefits. A 13th month, a solid pension plan, profit sharing, and the opportunity to become a Nedap shareholder.
- Space and trust. You coordinate your own working hours and vacation days in consultation with your colleagues to achieve a healthy work-life balance.
- Professional challenge. Space to explore ideas, work on challenging projects, and collaborate with more than 1,000 driven and like-minded colleagues.
- Development opportunities. You take the lead in your personal and professional growth within Nedap.
Required skills
You are excited by the possibilities of AI and continuously explore them yourself. You build, test, iterate, and share what you learn, even when something does not work right away. Your curiosity is contagious: you readily approach colleagues, start conversations about what AI can mean for their work, and help them experiment with it.
You have a good sense of what a team needs. You can challenge developers in substantive discussions while also making space for uncertainty, resistance, and different speeds of adoption. You communicate clearly, take initiative, and adapt the way you help to what is needed: sometimes you organize a workshop or event, sometimes you provide training, coach a colleague one-on-one, or build something yourself to show what is possible.
Your experience includes:
- Seniority and breadth: You have at least seven years of relevant experience across different software teams, projects, or organizations. As a result, you understand that what works in one team does not automatically work in another context.
- Software development: You understand the software development life cycle (SDLC) and the dynamics of software teams, from technical choices and quality to collaboration and continuous improvement.
- AI in practice: You build and experiment with AI applications yourself and explore how AI can help software teams. You can explain what you have built, where you encountered challenges, and what you learned from them.
- Effective teams: You have experience helping software teams improve how they collaborate and work. You understand how Agile principles, clear workflows, and effective ways of working can help teams develop software more effectively.
- Guiding change: You have helped teams adopt new ways of working and understand what this requires: listening, involving colleagues, experimenting, adjusting, and making sure an approach continues to work in daily practice. You can also think along about how collaboration and team setup can support that change.
- Language skills: You communicate effectively in Dutch and English.
And beyond your experience, it is important to us that you identify with our culture and values and are eager to contribute to our purpose of creating Technology for Life.
