Operations Associate Treasury & Overlays

As an Operations Associate Treasury & Overlays, you will be part of the Asset Management Administration Treasury & Overlays team. The team is responsible for the administration of internally managed overlay mandates.

Your role

You will work closely with day-to-day investment activities, including margin and collateral processes. You will analyse discrepancies between PGGM’s calculations and those of counterparties, ensure that transactions are processed correctly, and contribute to accurate, timely and complete records.

You will also look beyond day-to-day operations. You will identify opportunities to make processes smarter, more efficient or more automated, and work with colleagues across disciplines to put those improvements into practice.

What you will do

In this role, you will work at the heart of the investment value chain, combining day-to-day operations with analysis, collaboration and improvement. You will have room to take ownership, develop your expertise in Treasury & Overlays, and help build smarter, more efficient processes.

• You will ensure accurate, timely and complete records for Treasury & Overlays.
• You will process and monitor margin and collateral flows.
• You will analyse discrepancies in collateral calculations and liaise with counterparties to resolve them.
• You will monitor the progress of transactions and ensure they are processed correctly.
• You will work with SimCorp Dimension and, for collateral processes, tools including Acadiasoft, SWIFT and Excel.
• You will collaborate with colleagues across disciplines within the investment value chain.
• You will identify operational risks, discrepancies and opportunities for improvement.
• You will actively contribute to process improvement and automation.

Your department

AMA Treasury & Overlays is part of Administration within Investment Management Operations. Administration handles various aspects of financial and investment administration. Alongside Treasury & Overlays, it includes Fiduciary Administration, AMA Private Markets and AMA Equities & Fixed Income, among others.

You will therefore work in an environment where investing, administration, data and technology constantly come together. You will liaise with various parties across the investment value chain and have the opportunity not just to carry out processes, but to improve them too.

Your profile

You have strong analytical skills, work accurately and are curious about what happens behind a transaction or process. You feel at home in a professional environment that values quality while actively pursuing change and improvement.

In addition, you:

• have the ability to work and think at an advanced higher professional education (HBO+) or university level, for example in business administration, business economics or finance;
• have relevant experience in investment operations, investment administration, treasury operations or a similar financial environment;
• have knowledge of financial instruments and investment processes;
• can analyse discrepancies and get to the heart of complex issues;
• work carefully, even under time pressure;
• switch easily between day-to-day operational tasks and more conceptual issues;
• communicate effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders;
• take ownership and actively seek opportunities to improve processes;
• enjoy collaborating while independently managing your own responsibilities.

A strong advantage is experience with SimCorp Dimension, collateral management, derivatives, treasury processes, process controls and/or automation.

• A gross monthly salary in scale 13 between €3.145 and €4.493 based on 36 hours, depending on your knowledge and experience.
