You develop policies and frameworks that enable effective normal system control to avoid system disturbances, and policies to support large-scale restoration scenarios. You enrich the existing defense and restoration plan with policies for voltage collapse events, a lessons learned from the 2025 blackout in Spain and Portugal. - Assessing the interaction between active power disconnection schemes, such as Low Frequency Demand Disconnect (LFDD), and voltage deviations resulting from changing power flows
- Defining policies for reactive power control supporting voltage management, including procedures and triggers for activation of assets and system protection schemes against voltage collapse and deviation (NC ER Article 17 & 19)
- Developing reactive power control schemes for Low Voltage Demand Disconnection (LVDD) and blocking schemes for on-load tap changers
