As a sales engineer OEM at Lamers High Tech Systems in Nijmegen, you become the technical-commercial engine behind our Machine Conditioning solutions. You are not a salesperson in the traditional sense, but a technical sparring partner who thoroughly understands the customer's technological products to deliver outstanding (new) solutions.
- Working hours: 36 - 40h.
The Aalberts way
Aalberts is built on entrepreneurship. We believe that the more freedom people are given, the greater the chance they will find brilliant solutions for our clients. That is why we give you the space to take initiative, make your own choices, and make a difference as one team. What you contribute today makes the difference tomorrow. For yourself, for the company, and for our planet.
In the world of high-tech optics and measurement technology, 'good enough' is never the standard. Our strategic partners demand absolute precision and reliability, because any fraction of a deviation has an immediate impact on the global chip technology supply chain. Our most important German client in the Oberkochen region is a crucial link in this. Within this playing field, success is about more than just technology; it is about navigating complex organizational structures and cultural nuances. Innovation only accelerates within strategic alliances that speak the client's language — literally and figuratively.
Your challenge
You act as the director who determines how we increase the added value for our customers. You maintain close ties with our clients and form the bridge between technical cost engineers and the commercial team. You focus strongly on solving operational challenges and constantly look for opportunities to enhance our value proposition.
In short: You are the link who understands complex problems, and your commercial success is the logical result of the solutions you co-create with the customer.
Key responsibilities:
- Technical-Commercial Sparring: Serving as the primary internal point of contact for customers in semicon and high-tech. You understand the function of a product and dive deep into the reasoning behind technical changes.
- Maintaining Balance: Collaborating closely with cost engineers to ensure quotes are technically superior while remaining commercially competitive and perfectly positioned in the market.
- Capitalizing on Opportunities: Identifying commercial potential where others only see engineering, and successfully converting these into concrete co-engineering projects.
Who are you?
- It is essential for this role that you bring a technical foundation.
- Additionally, you have 3–8 years of experience in a high-tech, semiconductor, or technical production environment.
- You have extensive experience managing client relationships within complex, technical environments.
- Analytical, results-oriented, and structured.
- Communicatively skilled and capable of exerting influence.
- You are fluent in English

We are a company of mission-critical people who can’t resist going beyond the line of duty. For us, the whole nine yards and the extra mile are only the beginning. For us, good is never good enough. No matter how big the problem or opportunity is, when we say “we got this”, we won’t let go until there is nothing left to learn. This is how we deliver excellence.
