Share our passion

At Yamaha Motor, everything we do is driven by one goal: creating KANDO. It is a Japanese expression that describes the feeling of excitement and deep satisfaction you experience when something exceeds your expectations.

At Yamaha, KANDO is not only for our customers. We believe our employees should experience it too through meaningful work, collaboration, personal growth, and the opportunity to make a real impact.

About the role:

As Chapter Lead (S/4HANA Functionals – FICO), you will lead a team of functional professionals across Finance & Controlling (FICO), Sales & Logistics (S&L), After Sales, and Technology, supporting Yamaha's ongoing S/4HANA transformation across Europe. You will be responsible for developing and inspiring your team, creating an environment where people can grow, collaborate, and deliver high-quality business solutions. Acting as a key link between business and IT, you help translate business needs into scalable and sustainable SAP S/4HANA solutions.

Beyond team leadership, you will drive the growth and maturity of the functional professions within your chapter. By fostering knowledge sharing, defining best practices, developing skills, and supporting career development, you will help build strong, future-ready professional communities across all domains.

We are looking for a leader with deep SAP S/4HANA experience, preferably with a strong background in Finance & Controlling (FICO). While your expertise may originate from the finance domain, you will provide leadership and direction across all functional areas within the chapter, helping teams grow their capabilities and deliver value to the business.

This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who enjoys developing people, strengthening professional excellence, and driving continuous improvement while contributing to Yamaha's vision of delivering KANDO to customers and employees alike.

Your responsibilities:

  • Provide functional leadership for SAP Finance (FI/CO), acting as the subject matter expert and balancing strategic direction with hands-on delivery.
  • Lead requirements and solution design by facilitating stakeholder workshops and translating business needs into functional specifications, process flows, and scalable SAP solutions.
  • Drive process improvement and governance by optimizing end-to-end finance processes, promoting ERP best practices, and supporting standardization and continuous improvement.
  • Lead and develop the team by coaching business analysts, strengthening business analysis capabilities, and building S/4HANA knowledge to ensure continuity across Yamaha Motor Europe.
  • Manage stakeholders and delivery by building strong relationships with business stakeholders, product owners, train leads, and technical teams while supporting projects and change initiatives.
  • Build professional capability by establishing business analysis standards, templates, and working practices and supporting the development of chapter members.

What do you bring?

  • Bachelor or Master's degree, preferably in Information Technology, Business Information Management, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in SAP Finance (FI/CO) (e.g. in functional consulting)
  • Experience in requirements gathering, workshop facilitation, and stakeholder management.
  • Proven ability to write detailed functional specifications and business requirements documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of finance business processes, including:
  • Record-to-Report (R2R)
  • Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
  • Financial Accounting (FI)
  • Controlling (CO)
  • Asset Accounting
  • Banking and Treasury processes (advantage)
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA is preferred.
  • Strong SAP ECC experience is also considered highly relevant.
  • Experience with ERP implementations, enhancements, or transformation programs.
  • Experience with Signavio or similar process modelling tools is an advantage.
  • Experience with SAP Cloud ALM is an advantage but not a requirement.
  • Strong understanding of Agile ways of working (e.g. PSM I certified).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Full professional proficiency in English. Additional European languages are considered an advantage.
  • Experience in an international corporate environment.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, or leading analysts or consultants is preferred.
