Do you want to discover what it really takes to run a hotel successfully? At Cityden, as a Duty Management Intern, you get the opportunity to participate in the daily operation and develop yourself into an independent Duty Manager.
You will work closely with the Hotel Manager and will be given a lot of responsibility. Not an internship where you just watch, but a place where you actively participate, can take initiative and get to know different parts of the hotel organization.
Cityden Aparthotels combines the service of a hotel with the comfort of your own apartment. With 348 apartments spread over three locations in and around Amsterdam, we receive a wide range of guests, from weekend visitors to guests who stay with us for a longer period of time. What makes Cityden especially special is our team. We are ambitious, work hard and are there for each other, but we think it is just as important to have fun together. The lines are short and you are really part of the team from the start. You can also see that close-knit atmosphere outside working hours. Every quarter we organize a team outing and there are also regular drinks and other moments when we do something fun together. It is precisely this combination of working together, being given responsibility and having fun that makes working at Cityden unique. Cityden is growing rapidly. In 2027, we will expand further with a new location in Amsterdam. That means new opportunities, new challenges and plenty of room to grow with them
Responsibilities
During your internship, you will get to know the entire hotel operation. You will work with Front Office, Housekeeping and F&B, among others, and will be given more and more responsibility. You will be trained to work independently as a Duty Manager and to manage the team. You keep an overview, support colleagues and make guests feel welcome. From unexpected situations to guest questions and complaints: you will learn how to switch quickly and always look for a suitable solution. In addition, you will be involved in administrative tasks, such as cash management, time registration and month-end closings. You also play an important role in guest satisfaction by managing reviews and following up on guest feedback. There is plenty of room to think about improvements, new ideas and more efficient working methods within the organization.
