At Fleet Robotics, we develop and operate advanced robotic solutions for the maritime industry. Through our inspection robots, cleaning robots, diving services, and customer portal, we help shipowners worldwide reduce fuel consumption, emissions, and operational costs. To support our growth and ongoing automation efforts, we continuously invest in software development. That is why we are looking for a Software Engineer.
As a Software Engineer, you will work closely with experienced software and hardware engineers specializing in automation, robotics, and cloud solutions.
- Full-time employment contract of 40 hours per week.
- Opportunity to work from home one day per week, while spending the other four days collaborating with colleagues at the office.
As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and maintaining operational software used in our robotic inspection, cleaning, and diving operations.
- Developing backend systems that collect and process data from robots, operators, inspections, and completed projects.
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining databases to reliably store and provide access to operational data.
- Developing integrations between different systems and applications to enable the automatic exchange and processing of information.
- Translating operational processes into smart software solutions that contribute to further automation of our services.
- Testing, validating, and deploying new software to robots and operational systems.
- Supporting colleagues with technical questions and resolving complex software-related incidents.
What are we looking for?
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Informatics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Experience with Python, Git, and the design and implementation of databases.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure is considered a strong advantage.
- Experience with Kotlin is a plus.
- Affinity with robotics, automation, or industrial software.
- A willingness to occasionally work hands-on with our robots in the field, alongside software development.
- Good command of both Dutch and English.
What do we offer?
- A gross monthly salary between €3,500 and €5,000 based on a full-time employment contract of 40 hours per week (excluding 8% holiday allowance).
- 25 vacation days based on full-time employment, with the option to purchase up to five additional days.
