Join us as a Scientific and Regulatory Affairs Intern (R&D Global SARA Intern) at our international headquarters in Utrecht, starting in March 2027. In this role, you will focus on external nutrition related measures (such as sugar taxes, marketing restrictions or front of pack nutrition labelling), with an emphasis on nutrient related requirements and Ultra Processed Foods (UPF). Your main objective will be to monitor the latest developments and trends in these areas, assess emerging local regulatory requirements, and translate findings into structured input for automated company databases, policies, and guidelines.

You will work closely with different stakeholders within R&D such as product solutions, technology solutions, regulatory, and marketing teams.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in scientific and regulatory affairs and nutrition while supporting our commitment to quality and innovation in product development.

Your key activities will be:

  • Conduct a literature review on best practices for internal company nutrition guidelines
  • Research and recommend the most suitable tool or automation approach to capture and manage local nutrition-related measures
  • Gather data and build the foundational data structure needed for the tool, including relevant nutrition requirements, portfolio assessment criteria, and inputs for a simulator or calculator to check future adherence during product development
  • Support the development of standardised templates, decision trees, and risk assessment tools tailored to nutrition design processes and their governance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with company requirements
  • Support the creation of training materials and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to facilitate the global rollout and adoption of the standardised nutrition design guidelines programme

What's in it for you?

  • A monthly internship allowance of €525 (full-time)
  • Travel compensation if you don't have a free public transport card
  • Paid holidays for each internship term
  • Two weeks of remote working anywhere in Europe (EEA)
  • Gain hands-on experience in scientific and regulatory affairs, specifically regarding nutrition
  • Opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that allow us to offer our consumers a healthy beverage
  • The chance to learn from Global R&D scientific and regulatory affairs professionals!
