Enterprise ITAM and EOL Capability Lead

Role Description

About our team:

We are building a new enterprise-wide IT Asset Management and End-of-Life capability within Core Platforms and the ServiceNow team.

This capability will help Booking.com answer some fundamental questions:

• What technology do we have?
• Who owns it?
• How critical is it?
• How long can we rely on it?
• Where are we exposed?
• What action needs to happen next?

The scope is broad, covering infrastructure, cloud, network, enterprise software and selected AI-related assets. ServiceNow will provide the core control, workflow and evidence layer, integrating with platforms such as LeanIX, Collibra and SAP, alongside Booking.com’s internal inventory systems and other sources of record.

As Enterprise ITAM and EOL Capability Lead, you will have the opportunity to define and shape a new enterprise capability from the ground up.

You will set the technical vision, architecture, operating model, governance and roadmap that enable Booking.com to understand its technology landscape and take better, faster and more informed decisions about risk, investment and remediation.

This is not a role where you inherit a mature service and simply keep it running. You will create the foundations, make the important design decisions and establish the standards that will influence how technology is managed across the company.

You will work across Technology, Business Units, Enterprise Architecture, Security, Risk, Compliance, Finance and Audit. You will need to bring clarity to complexity, create alignment across teams and influence decisions without direct authority.

Key Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Define the technical vision, target architecture, operating model, governance and roadmap for the ITAM and EOL capability.
• Establish how Booking.com identifies technology, assigns ownership, assesses criticality and manages lifecycle and EOL risk.
• Design how ServiceNow, LeanIX, Software Catalog, cloud discovery and other systems work together.
• Turn policy and risk expectations into practical technical standards, controls, workflows and reporting.
• Establish the data, attestation, remediation, exception and escalation processes needed to make the capability reliable.
• Create a repeatable approach to identifying, prioritising and reducing technology lifecycle and EOL exposure.
• Set clear decision rights and accountability across Platform Owners, Service Owners and Business Units.
• Provide clear, evidence-based reporting to Technology leadership, Risk, Compliance and Audit.
• Partner with the programme and BHFS stakeholders to ensure the capability meets BHFS requirements and is designed for wider enterprise adoption.
• Work with architects, the Technical Programme Manager and delivery teams to turn the vision into a sustainable service.

Role Qualifications and Requirements:

We are looking for someone who is comfortable operating at the intersection of technology, risk, architecture and business leadership.

You will bring:

• Significant Experience with ServiceNow ITAM, CMDB, service mapping or similar service-management capabilities.
• Significant experience leading enterprise applications, platforms or integrated technology capabilities.
• Experience shaping target architectures, integration strategies, data models and systems of record.
• Experience translating policy, regulatory or audit requirements into practical technical controls.
• A deep background in IT Asset Management, technology lifecycle management, cloud governance, technology risk or a related discipline.
• Experience improving data quality, ownership and accountability across complex organisations.
• Strong judgement across architecture, risk, reliability, cost and business value.
• The ability to create clarity, make decisions and bring stakeholders with you.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, including the ability to work effectively without direct authority.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience creating a new enterprise capability or operating model from the ground up.
• Experience with LeanIX, Software Catalog, cloud discovery or similar platforms.
• Experience with EOL remediation, technology risk reduction or audit readiness.
• Experience working across both central technology teams and Business Units.
