Role Description

As a Senior Product Manager for Flights Finance Operations, you will lead the early-stage discovery, strategy, and zero-to-one execution for our global flight settlement and reconciliation capabilities. You will bridge complex aviation clearinghouse and settlement requirements with Booking.com's centralized finance infrastructure, shaping the target operating model and driving technical design for flows of funds. Operating in a highly collaborative and matrixed environment, you will unify legacy processes with scalable future-state systems to power our growing Flights platform.

• Location is ideally Amsterdam, Netherlands, or remote-friendly within European time zones with expected monthly travel to Amsterdam.

Key Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Own the 18-month product strategy and team objectives, converting complex aviation finance workflows into a clear technical blueprint for engineering teams.
• Lead early-stage zero-to-one discovery and end-to-end design for global flight financial reconciliation, settlement, and fund-flow systems.
• Manage product delivery, team backlog prioritization, and risk mitigation while ensuring strict adherence to baseline non-functional requirements (financial, legal, regulatory, security, and privacy).
• Collaborate with enterprise Finance teams (Treasury, Tax, General Ledger) and key cross-functional stakeholders to align on strategic priorities and resolve dependencies.
• Establish product success metrics, design experimentations, and apply advanced data analytics to guide strategy and prioritization decisions.
• Drive customer and operational insight synthesis, transforming system usage data, logs, and feedback into clear problem statements and scalable solutions.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Product Craft Experience: 3–5 years of dedicated product management experience with a proven track record of driving complex technical capabilities.
• Aviation FinTech Background: Hands-on product experience in financial operations within travel distribution (e.g., major global OTA, airline distribution finance, GDS like Amadeus/Sabre, or flight consolidator).
• Aviation Clearinghouse Mastery: Deep, up-to-date expertise in global IATA BSP, ARC, and modern settlement frameworks (including NDC and settlement-with-order models).
• Zero-to-One Track Record: Demonstrated experience building or scaling a flight financial reconciliation ecosystem from the ground up.
• Enterprise Stakeholder Navigation: Strong ability to consult, influence, and align cross-functional teams within large-scale matrix organizations.
• Technical & Data Fluency: Proven ability to partner with Engineering/EMs on architectural trade-offs, system dependencies, non-functional requirements, and advanced data-driven experimentations.
• Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
