As a VP Specialized Partnerships, you'll be instrumental in identifying the industries where bunq's full-stack BaaS infrastructure solves the biggest problem at scale — and closing the first deals that prove the model. You'll build the commercial foundation that takes bunq's embedded finance capabilities into new verticals, delivering partnerships that are complex, high-value, and transformative.

Take Ownership

As VP Specialized Partnerships, you'll play a critical role in turning bunq's infrastructure into commercial reality.

• Identify the single commercial category where bunq's wallet + card + compliance-in-one solution creates the most value at scale, and build the business case to pursue it decisively.
• Own the full partnership lifecycle from first outreach to signed deal and live integration
• Redesign bunq's partnership process from the ground up: strip out what slows deals down while protecting what's legally required, and build a repeatable motion that closes faster across EEA and US markets.
• Build commercial momentum ahead of the US license launch, securing LOIs and conditional agreements so revenue starts the moment the license goes live.
• Run an AI-first sales motion, using AI for market intelligence, prospect research, pipeline prioritization, and personalized outreach at scale.

This challenge is perfect for you if

• You have a deep understanding of payments, BaaS, embedded finance, sponsor bank models, card issuing, wallets, settlements, and KYC/KYB/AML — and you can translate technical and regulatory complexity into clear business value for enterprise partners.
• You have a proven track record of independently closing complex, high-value B2B partnerships in fintech or financial services, including legal and commercial negotiation.
• You have experience winning structured procurement processes: tenders, RFPs, and formal partner selection with regulated institutions.
• You've identified and opened a new commercial vertical from scratch — not just executed within defined categories, but built the first deal and the repeatable motion behind it.
• You can communicate effectively in English across global teams, enterprise partners, and C-level stakeholders.

All new hires are subject to Pre-employment Screening (PES), which includes checks conducted by our third-party partner, Zinc.
