Your Mission

You will report to our Director Finance Global Functions & IT. In this dynamic role, you will help navigate the financial scope of Global Functions—encompassing Global IT, Global Functions (HR, Finance, BD, Legal, Tax, Treasury, Internal Audit), BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) activities, and other general Vopak entities.

Because team responsibilities are evolving, we are looking for an energetic, highly adaptable self-starter who naturally takes ownership, tackles challenges head-on, and actively identifies opportunities to improve the business.

What will you be doing?

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Planning & Reporting: Support the budgeting, forecasting, and month-end closing (MEC) cycles for the entire BU General Services portfolio (IT, Global Functions, BESS, and general Vopak activities).
• IT TCO & Chargeback Management: Drive financial transparency across the global IT landscape. Develop and refine Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) models to gain deep insight into true IT costs, ensuring accurate, transparent, and fair cost allocations/chargebacks across global operating companies and joint ventures.
• Systems & Reporting Automation: Act as a system-savvy continuous improver who bridges the gap between systems and financial insights. You will extract and blend data from diverse financial/ERP systems, streamline manual workflows, and build automated reporting dashboards and overviews.
• Integration & Organizational Alignment: Support the ongoing integration and financial harmonization of merged team structures and functions, helping to streamline workflows and cost-allocation frameworks.
• Director Support & Special Projects: Assist the Director Finance Global Functions & IT on ad-hoc business cases, statutory/legal entity topics, and BESS financial controls.

• Education & Experience: Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Economics, paired with 10 years of relevant controlling experience in a complex international setting.
• Financial Planning, Analysis & IT Management: Strong affinity with financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and IT financial management, with experience applying methodologies such as Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and cost allocation/chargeback mechanisms.
• Systems & Automation Savvy: Highly proficient in navigating multiple IT/ERP platforms, financial databases, and BI tooling. Hands-on experience with (or passion for) automating financial overviews, reporting models, and data flows to eliminate manual effort.
• Autonomous & Proactive Mindset: Highly self-driven with a "can-do" attitude; comfortable navigating ambiguity, stepping up to solve problems, and driving continuous improvement.
• Analytical & Change-Oriented: Ability to simplify complex cost structures and adapt quickly to shifting team dynamics and departmental integrations.
• Communication: Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills with full fluency in English.
