Are you an analytical, proactive, and collaborative student who enjoys working with stakeholders from different cultures and backgrounds? Then join Danone as a Specialized ingredients procurement intern in the Hoofddorp office starting October.
In this internship, you will be part of the Global Procurement team, supporting sourcing and procurement initiatives across multiple categories and regions. The team creates value through strategic sourcing, supplier partnerships, and continuous process improvement. During this internship, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Procurement, Finance, Supply Chain, Sustainability, and Business stakeholders while supporting global sourcing initiatives and reporting projects.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Participate in the execution of sourcing strategies in a multicultural, global environment.
- Support tender preparations, supplier negotiations, and global contract management activities.
- Collect, consolidate, and analyze complex datasets from multiple sources, including Excel, Power BI, and AI-driven tools.
- Co-lead and support the development of internal reporting and efficiency tools using Excel and Power BI.
- Maintain, update, and improve procurement databases and dashboards shared with key stakeholders.
- Support business strategy initiatives related to Business Continuity Planning (BCP), cost savings, sustainability, and supplier performance management.
About you
As an intern, analytical thinking and stakeholder management will become second nature to you. You can confidently work with data, identify trends and opportunities, and transform complex information into actionable business insights. On top of that, you're a curious and proactive team player who is always looking for opportunities to learn, improve processes, and make an impact.
Key requirements:
- Enrolled as a Bachelor's or Master's student in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, Economics, or a related field for the entire duration of the internship.
- Resident of the Netherlands with a valid BSN number. Non-EU citizens must have a valid Dutch residency permit.
- For non-EU citizens, your university must sign a three-party agreement with Danone.
- Available to start in Hoofddorp for a minimum of 6 months, 5 days per week.
- Strong analytical skills with proficient knowledge of Excel and Power BI.
- Comfortable working with large datasets and translating data into meaningful business insights.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Self-starter mentality with curiosity, initiative, and willingness to challenge the status quo.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus.
- Able to work from the Hoofddorp office at least 3x days per week.
