To strengthen the FECCS data domain at Data Engineering and Analytics side, we are looking for an enthusiastic, self-starting Data (IT) Engineer with a focus on data transformation using PySpark/SQL and a proven track record in supporting data processes.
Implementing and improving a target state of end-user reporting helps the bank comply with DFC rules and regulations, harmonise processes, rationalise the IT landscape, improve data quality, and generate relevant and reliable reporting. Overall, this role contributes to preventing financial crime and helping the bank remain trustworthy for clients and society in general.

Your job
Your qualifications:
- 5+ years' experience in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-scale data platforms and analytics solutions on Azure.
- Skilled in SQL, Python, PySpark, Azure Databricks, and building scalable data transformation pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) for data ingestion, orchestration, and ETL/ELT processes.
- Strong understanding of dimensional modelling (Kimball), data warehousing, Lakehouse architecture, data governance, permissions, and RLS.
- Experienced in modern data architecture, data engineering best practices, and cloud-based analytics solutions. Certification DP-203 (Azure Data Engineer Associate), DP-600 (Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate), or equivalent Azure/Fabric experience is a plus.
- Experienced in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Explorer, Fabric Eventhouse, Delta Lake, or similar modern data platform technologies.
- Familiar with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and Agile ways of working.
- Have excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a strong focus on data quality, performance optimization, and operational excellence.
- Experience supporting downstream analytics and reporting solutions through curated datasets, semantic models, and Power BI.
- Have good interpersonal skills and a proactive attitude, eager to learn new technologies and contribute to continuous improvement.
As a Data Engineer, you play an essential role in the IT world of DFC/FEC Data Domain.
You will be part of the FECCS Data Products team, where you design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade data platforms, data pipelines, and analytics solutions used by thousands of users across the organization. FECCS stands for Financial Economic Crime Compound Service. Besides having a strong technical mindset, the team is also seeking someone who can inspire colleagues, communicate effectively, demonstrate ownership, proactively solve problems, and continuously learn and adopt new technologies.
Your roles and responsibilities include:
- You will work as a DevOps team member in a Scrum team within the Data Engineer Chapter. You will refine, analyse, design, develop, test, maintain, and deliver scalable, high-quality, and future-proof data solutions.
- You will design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, PySpark, and Microsoft Fabric.
- You will build and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and storage solutions to support enterprise analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision making.
- You will ensure data quality, reliability, scalability, monitoring, and operational excellence across the data platform.
- You will implement and maintain source control, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation using Azure DevOps.
- You will collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into robust and sustainable data engineering solutions.
- You will enhance and optimize existing data products and platform capabilities to meet evolving business needs.
- You will troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues using strong analytical and technical skills.
- You will contribute to the evolution of data architecture, engineering standards, and best practices within the organization.
- You will actively participate in knowledge sharing through engineering communities, guilds, circles, and technology events.
- You will comply with and advocate Agile, DevOps, and DataOps principles, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Your profile
You will be an essential part of the FECCS data Product team.
Our ideal candidate should have:
- At least 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
- Strong hands-on experience with PySpark, Azure Databricks, and Azure Data Factory.
- Experience with PL/SQL and relational databases.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD and automated deployments.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and IT service management.
- Collaborate with data product team to define requirements for data.
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of the Financial Economic Crime (FEC) area.
- Knowledge of incident management and operations (e.g. ServiceNow).
