Portfolio Specialist, Ingka Centres, Netherlands: We are looking for a highly analytical and commercially minded Portfolio Specialist to help drive performance across our global shopping centres portfolio.

Who you are

This is a high-impact role at the intersection of investments, portfolio management and analytics, working closely with senior stakeholders to support some of our most important business decisions.

You will combine quantitative analysis, financial modelling, scenario analysis and market insights to assess portfolio performance, evaluate portfolio optimisation opportunities, and support investment and capital allocation decisions across our global portfolio. Your analysis will directly enable investment, redevelopment and capital allocation decisions across a globally diversified real estate portfolio.

This role is ideal for someone with 5 to 7 years of experience in investment analysis, strategy consulting, corporate finance, real estate, or analytics, who enjoys solving complex business problems and influencing decisions through data-driven insights.

  • Leiden, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands

Your responsibilities

As a Portfolio Specialist, you will:

  • Analyse portfolio composition, asset performance and market dynamics to identify opportunities to enhance long-term portfolio value.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities from a portfolio perspective, comparing expected returns, risks and strategic fit to support capital allocation decisions.
  • Develop scenario analyses and analytical frameworks to assess portfolio optimisation opportunities and inform executive decision-making.
  • Assess portfolio diversification, concentration risks and market trends to strengthen portfolio resilience and maximise long-term value creation.
  • Lead the Portfolio Valuation process, including analysing valuation outcomes and providing insights.
  • Translate complex financial, operational and market data into actionable insights and recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Prepare analyses and presentations for investment committees, portfolio reviews and executive decision-making.

What we are looking for

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to structure and solve complex business questions.
  • Experience building financial models, business cases and scenario analysis.
  • Excellent quantitative skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics tools is an advantage.
  • Ability to synthesise complex data into clear insights and communicate recommendations effectively to a range of stakeholders.
  • Curious, collaborative and proactive, with a strong ownership mindset.

What you will gain

  • Exposure to senior leadership and investment decision-making processes.
  • The opportunity to influence significant investment, capital allocation and portfolio management decisions.
  • Ownership of high-profile analyses and projects with visible business impact.
  • A collaborative, international environment with significant opportunities for growth and development.
  • Access to advanced data, analytics and market intelligence to solve complex commercial challenges.

Why join us?

This is not a traditional specialist role. You'll work on real investment and portfolio decisions, helping shape the future of major retail destinations while seeing your analyses translate into tangible business outcomes.

If you're excited about combining analytics, investments and commercial thinking to optimise a global real estate portfolio, we'd love to hear from you.
