As Legal Counsel, you work at the intersection of law, business and technology. You are involved early on, explore the question behind the legal issue and turn complex topics into clear choices and workable solutions. This gives you a direct influence on decisions at Nedap and plenty of room to shape your role.

As Nedap grows as a Digital Twin Technology company and our international activities continue to develop, legal and commercial questions become more complex. Your role is to turn that complexity into choices colleagues can genuinely act on. You have the freedom to challenge existing ways of working, experiment and introduce better solutions.

What are you going to do?

At Nedap, Legal & Compliance does more than tell the organisation what is and is not legally possible. We help the organisation make better decisions.

Your responsibilities

Legal advice

You give advise to business leaders and teams on commercial, legal and compliance matters;

Contracts

You will draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, including SaaS, technology, distribution and hardware agreements;

Strategic projects

You give advise on strategic projects, transactions, governance and policy;

Scalable solutions

You can translate recurring legal questions into standards, templates, playbooks and smarter processes;

AI & Legal Tech

You use AI, Legal Tech and automation to organise legal work more intelligently and enable colleagues to work more independently;

Collaboration

You build strong relationships across Nedap’s business units and international operations, bringing different interests together.

Your team

You will join a compact Legal & Compliance team. You report to the General Counsel and work closely with colleagues across Nedap, including business leaders and a range of expert teams.

We take our work seriously, while also keeping things in perspective. We work closely together, challenge each other constructively and aim to leave things better than we found them.

What’s in it for you?

You make a meaningful contribution to our purpose: making people happier and more successful in their professional lives.

The salary range for this role is € 5.800,- to € 8.000,- gross per month, based on full-time employment (38 hours per week), depending on relevant knowledge and experience. In addition to your salary, you will receive a thirteenth-month salary, a solid pension plan and profit sharing, with the opportunity to become a Nedap shareholder.

We work with trust and autonomy. In consultation with your colleagues, you coordinate your own working hours and vacation days to support a healthy work-life balance. We also place great value on personal and professional growth. You will receive a comprehensive introduction, and we encourage you to keep developing.

Required skills

You have a Master’s degree in law or a comparable qualification and typically around five to ten years of relevant experience. More important than the exact number of years is your ability to operate independently in a complex business environment.

You:

  • Legal expertise: combine strong legal expertise with a pragmatic and commercial mindset;
  • Clear communication: get to the heart of complex legal topics and explain them clearly and convincingly;
  • Negotiation: are a strong negotiator who can bring different interests together;
  • Curiosity: enjoy immersing yourself in the business, technology and how Nedap creates value;
  • Structure & scalability: recognise patterns, keep an overview and develop solutions that can be used more widely;
  • Ownership: take responsibility and work easily across teams and disciplines;
  • Collaboration: share knowledge and contribute to the team’s results, also beyond your own area of focus;
  • AI & Legal Tech: use AI and Legal Tech to find better solutions and work more intelligently;
  • Language skills: have an excellent command of Dutch and English.

You look beyond what is legally possible and seek solutions that are both legally sound and workable for the business.
