As a Medior Kotlin Developer, you'll play a leading role in an ongoing transformation and microservice journey. If you enjoy working with technologies like Kotlin, Java, and Kafka to build impactful applications for the Stores landscape, this role offers that opportunity.

This is how you will reinvent food retail.

• Build a greenfield microservices architecture on Kotlin/Java for the Stores Cluster.
• Develop technical solutions in line with systems and business process architecture.
• Develop proofs of concept, build code, implement and execute automated testing, ensure security and code quality, and develop best practices.
• Further enhance technical standards and guidelines.
• Work closely within a product team, participating in agile ceremonies, story refinement, code changes, deployments, and production support activities.
• Share your expertise and contribute to initiatives in your product cluster and the broader AH Technology Platform.
• Develop the team’s skills and processes to deliver value as quickly as possible.

As a Medior Engineer, you are an essential part of your product team. Your team develops and supports multiple applications delivering one or more capabilities for our brands in the Netherlands. You will work closely with the Product Owner and Product Architect to develop the technology landscape. Business technology and solution consultants will support you and the rest of the team to identify requirements and find the best possible solutions.

The recipe for maximum impact.

• A Technology/IT Engineering Master or Bachelor degree.
• 3+ years of experience working as a Medior Engineer in a complex corporate technology environment.
• Broad technical knowledge including Kotlin/Java, microservices, cloud (preferably Azure and OCI), APIs, and non-functional requirements such as scalability and technical security.
• Knowledge of event streaming and messaging platforms such as Kafka is a big plus.
• Knowledge and experience with Agile.
• An outstanding command of English.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a team.
• Already located in the Netherlands.
