Gwynt is a consulting firm for larger entrepreneurial (family) businesses in retail, wholesale, food, and manufacturing industries. The firm acts as a strategic sparring partner for owners, including management, family offices, or private equity. Gwynt combines market knowledge with substantive expertise and change power to help clients achieve lasting results, growth, and a culture of continuous improvement.

The combination of hard skills such as strategy, processes, content, and project management with soft skills such as behavior, management, and change management is an important starting point. The approach is pragmatic and focused on achieving results, sometimes including temporary interim positions to accelerate change processes.

Your role

As a Senior Business Associate, you have a leading role in impactful transformation projects in the (high-tech) industry. You combine vision and market knowledge with substantive expertise and change power in the manufacturing supply chain. You are able to develop strategy and turn it into concrete plans. You can lead complex projects independently and have an active role in project, program, and change management.

Within Gwynt, you are the trigger when it comes to discrete manufacturing and the (high-tech) manufacturing industry. You have a commercial drive, have a strong network, and get energy from developing and converting opportunities at and for (potential) customers.

Transformation projects often start with a quick scan, and it is important at this stage to get to the core quickly. You do this by means of pragmatic analyses, but also by connecting with the management and employees of clients and drawing up a customized change program.

Over a period of several months, you will work with one or more work streams (e.g., Strategy, New Product Development & Technology, Operations, Supply Chain, Supplier Management, Portfolio Management) and build strong relationships with the company’s employees. One day you’ll be working with teams on the shop floor, the next you’ll be at the table with the board to spar about strategic direction, achieving lasting results, and a culture of continuous improvement.

What do we expect from you?

It is important that you make an impact with clients and fit in with the organization and team. Teamwork, empathy, result-driven, analytical, people-oriented, pragmatic, ambitious, and eager to learn are some of the aspects valued highly. In your daily actions, you are an example to others.

In summary, we are looking for someone who identifies with the description below:

  • passion for (discrete) manufacturing/(high-tech) manufacturing industry
  • Active follower of trends and technology such as mechatronics, robotics/AI, 3D printing, internet of things, and drive to develop and share vision
  • at least 10 years of knowledge and work experience in (discrete) manufacturing, preferably with experience in, for example, program management, manufacturing, supply chain, supplier management, and innovation
  • an education at the academic level, preferably technical business administration, mechanical engineering, or another relevant (technical) study
  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects
  • preferably both line and consulting experience
  • a professional attitude and excellent communication skills at all levels, both verbal and written (Dutch and English)
  • the ability to position yourself strongly, create movement, deal with resistance, and put yourself in the service of a team
  • Experience and affinity with commerce is a strong plus

What do we offer you?

As an employee of Gwynt, you can count on a close-knit team of colleagues who are there for each other and share knowledge and experiences. There is an open culture with plenty of room for entrepreneurship and self-development.
