Rabobank is seeking an exceptional executive to lead independent Financial Crime Compliance oversight for Domestic Retail Banking while helping shape the future direction of anti-financial crime policy across the banking industry.

Acting as the designated AML, CTF & Sanctions Officer for Domestic Retail Banking, you operate at the highest levels of the organization, advising senior executives, engaging directly with supervisory authorities and influencing the regulatory agenda alongside industry leaders and policymakers. You will play a critical role in safeguarding the integrity of Rabobank and the wider financial system.

As Manager Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) Group & DRB, you will hold one of the most influential Financial Crime Compliance leadership positions within Rabobank.

Acting as the designated AML, CTF & Sanctions Officer for Domestic Retail Banking (DRB), you provide independent oversight, challenge and advice on material financial crime risks across the bank. You operate within the second line of responsibility and ensure Rabobank continues to meet its obligations as a gatekeeper in the financial system.

You lead teams responsible for Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) Reporting, Financial Crime Policy, Advisory activities and Fraud Risk Management. You oversee the effectiveness of the FCC framework, challenge senior stakeholders on risk-based decision-making and provide strategic guidance on complex financial crime matters.

  • Representing Rabobank in discussions with regulators, industry associations and governmental stakeholders regarding future financial crime legislation and risk management practices.

  • Leadership responsibility for approximately 78 FTE.
  • Member of the FCC Management Team.

Lead Financial Crime Compliance oversight and policy

You are accountable for the oversight of AML, CTF, sanctions, ABC and fraud-related risks within Group & DRB. You lead policy development, challenge complex business decisions, provide binding advice where required and ensure regulatory requirements are effectively translated into sustainable controls and practices.

Drive regulatory engagement and industry influence

You act as a strategic liaison between Rabobank, regulators, supervisory authorities and industry bodies. You help shape the regulatory agenda and represent Rabobank in discussions concerning financial crime risk management, safeguarding both regulatory compliance and the bank's strategic interests.
