TenneT is growing fast to realize its strategic ambitions and plays a leading role in driving the energy transition. We are looking for a passionate Technical Specialist Process Auxiliary Systems at our location Arnhem Rijnpoort who will contribute to this.

The department Technology, Engineering and Services (TES) is looking for a motivated and talented Technical Specialist Process Auxiliary Systems who will support the Process discipline with a primary focus on Process Auxiliary Systems within the 2GW Program.

The successful candidate will initially act as an assistant to the SPL Process discipline and, following onboarding and familiarization, gradually take ownership of delegated tasks and responsibilities within both the Technical Specialist (TS) and SPL scope. This role offers a strong development path for professionals who aspire to grow into a Sub Project Lead position within the project organization or Asset Specialist.

Jouw rol

  • Support the Process Team in the engineering and delivery of Auxiliary Systems.
  • Execute delegated Technical Specialist and Sub Project Lead activities after onboarding and familiarization.
  • Contribute to the engineering, coordination, and technical management of the complete Auxiliary Systems scope.
  • Develop knowledge of the 2GW Project Process Systems and associated interfaces.
  • Support continuity of the Process discipline by being able to temporarily cover SPL Process responsibilities during absence, such as holidays or sick leave, and potentially progress into a permanent SPL role.
  • Bring complementary technical knowledge to strengthen the overall expertise of the team.
  • Capture technical knowledge and experience as lessons learned to support future projects.

Offshore is responsible for the development, construction, and management of the offshore electricity grid. With the North Sea as the green engine of the energy transition, Offshore plays a clear and vital role within TenneT’s organisational structure. The Offshore division manages the entire lifecycle of all TenneT offshore installations, from development and realisation to maintenance and handover to the Operate division. A crucial task is the construction of 2 GW offshore sockets, which collect and transport generated wind energy to the mainland.

Jouw profiel & achtergrond

  • Bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent working and thinking level.
  • Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related technical background.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a technical professional environment; more experience is welcome.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Experience working within the Microsoft 365 environment, including Teams and Office applications.
  • EU resident.
