DE&I and Social Impact Internship

As an intern Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and Social Impact intern you will be part of our Sustainability team; the team responsible for driving our mission, creating an inclusive company and reducing our negative environmental impact. You will also be working closely with the People Experience team, training and development, employee experience, performance management & Office, Travel & Events. I know, it’s a lot - and that’s why we need you!

What you will do

Swapfiets aims to be an employer where every individual is heard and respected and has equitable opportunities to grow. You will be helping to drive our efforts towards this goal,

• Helping to facilitate our DE&I initiatives and training;
• Researching and participating in external resource groups to ideate and develop our strategy;
• Helping organize events and celebrations according to our DE&I calendar;
• Collaborating with various departments to integrate DE&I principles into their processes;
• Promoting awareness of DE&I issues through internal communications.
• Supporting our social impact program e.g. supply chain due diligence.

The gear you need:

Currently studying in fields such as humanities and/or social sciences; Do still feel free to apply if you are studying in a different field!

• Available to work full-time (40 hours);
• Ready to start in September/October for 6 months;
• You are a planning & organizational talent;
• Creative and ready to think outside the box;
• Fluent in English (written and spoken);
• Living in the Amsterdam area or willing to commute (please note that Swapfiets does not offer travel compensation for interns);
• Eager to get your hands dirty; after all, our core business is swapping bikes!
• Will be enrolled in a Dutch university for the whole duration of the internship.
