What you do

As Associate Director you are responsible for team development, resource management and project excellence. You are focused on client satisfaction, proposal oversight and management of opportunities and leads. As a member of the advisory group management team, you share responsibility for the performance of the entire advisory group. You are multitasking daily, combining your role as associate director with involvement in projects.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic leadership: leading strategic initiatives and translating advisory group objectives into actionable annual plans. Driving change within your team and supporting strong collaboration with other Advisory Groups.
  • Projects/proposals: taking the lead in project and proposal management, ensuring proposal readiness. You will closely monitor project health and step in as project director as needed.
  • Clients/markets: driving client engagement and satisfaction, and exploring new business opportunities. You will collaborate closely with business development in the global Data Centre market and enhance the service portfolio for various markets, including brownfield and greenfield projects.
  • People management: overseeing team alignment with market needs and development of staff through continuous feedback and training. You are responsible for efficient resource management across business line borders. You handle HR matters including annual reviews, performance management and staff welfare within your team.
  • Financial controls: responsibility for financial oversight, aligning project budgets with project managers to ensure cost-effective project execution. Contributing to the attainment of business plan and budget targets in revenue, added value and operating profit for the advisory group.

Where you will work

At Haskoning, you will join an independent, employee-owned international consultancy that combines engineering, design and consultancy services with software and technology.

As Associate Director Electrical Engineering, you will join the Mission Critical Facilities Data Centres team NL-UK-ES and work from the Nijmegen office. This team is one of the key hubs in Europe and delivers international data centre projects for leading clients, including hyperscale customers, colocation providers and technology companies.

Within this multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with the Associate Director of Mechanical Engineering in the MEP specialist group. Additionally, you will cooperate with other in-house teams that deliver civil, structural and architectural engineering. Together, you will deliver integrated and reliable designs for mission critical environments, in close collaboration with colleagues, partners and clients both within and beyond Europe.

  • Capable of collaborating in a multidisciplinary way, working together with other advisory groups within the Business Unit, as well as other teams within Haskoning.
