Data Science Consultant / Specialist

As a Data Science Consultant / Specialist, you will solve business questions with data-driven analysis, insight creation and data science solutions. You are responsible for all aspects of the implementation of a solution: business and data understanding, data engineering and modelling, and evaluation and deployment.

You apply statistical modelling, machine learning, natural language processing and/or computer vision to create insights and solutions that add value to customers, and you are able to communicate the analytical steps, outcomes and impact clearly to both team members and external stakeholders. You will also be responsible for implementing and possibly automating these steps and integrating them into clients’ data systems.

What will you do?

• Understand and analyze business processes to advise on appropriate data solutions
• Analyze data to provide quantitative insights into processes and issues
• Develop data pipelines for data collection and preparation
• Develop models and pipelines
• Implement and integrate the solution or application in clients’ application landscape
• Align with stakeholders on approach, issues and results
• Identify and quantify the added value of the solution for the client
• Develop client proposals and propositions under the guidance of senior staff

Career path Consultant / Specialist

Experience

• A Master’s degree in a quantitative science such as Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Econometrics, or Physics
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience or a PhD
• Strong team player with good communication skills
• Curious with strong analytical skills
• Experience with programming in Python
• Fluent in Dutch and English
