Are you motivated as a Configuration and Data Management (CADM) Lead to work on Europe’s own global satellite navigation system? Do you enjoy bringing structure, control and traceability to complex, mission-critical programmes? As a CADM Lead within CGI Space, you can make a direct contribution to the Galileo programme.

Your day-to-day activities

As CADM Lead, you will be responsible for Configuration and Data Management activities within a mission-critical system that is part of the Galileo 2nd Generation infrastructure.

Galileo is Europe’s own global satellite navigation system, providing highly accurate positioning services under civilian control. Within this complex and security-sensitive environment, effective configuration and data management is essential to ensure that system baselines, documentation, software, hardware and other configuration items remain controlled, traceable and compliant throughout the project lifecycle.

You will lead the CADM activities within the project and work closely with project management, systems engineering, software and infrastructure teams, quality assurance, security teams and customer stakeholders. You will ensure that configuration and data management processes are consistently applied and that project deliverables meet contractual and programme requirements.

The role includes the following elements:

  • Leading Configuration and Data Management activities for the project;

  • Establishing, controlling and maintaining project configuration baselines throughout the project lifecycle;
  • Managing configuration items, including documentation, software and system-related artefacts;
  • Ensuring identification, version control, status accounting and traceability of configuration items;
  • Coordinating and supporting Change Control Boards (CCBs) and configuration-related reviews;
  • Managing change requests and ensuring that approved changes are correctly implemented and recorded;
  • Coordinating the preparation, review, release, delivery and archiving of project documentation and data;
  • Monitoring and reporting on the quality, accuracy, and completeness of configuration and data records;
  • Supporting internal and customer audits, reviews and milestone deliveries;
  • Producing configuration status reports and relevant project metrics;
  • Ensuring compliance with project, customer, CGI and applicable space-industry processes and standards;
  • Providing leadership, guidance, coaching, and support to project team members on CADM processes, tools, and best practices;
  • Acting as the main point of contact for Configuration and Data Management matters within the project.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance CADM processes, efficiency, quality, and compliance.
