Role Overview

As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for introducing and promoting a new product line: mechanical seals. Your client base will consist of major contractors, whom you will support with our innovative solutions. You will be tasked with maximising sales output by actively hunting for new customers, developing and managing customer relationships, and recommending our products to meet market needs.

What our new Key Account Manager will be doing

  • Take ownership of end-to-end contract management, including tender submissions, negotiations, pricing alignment, and renewals, ensuring commercial terms are optimised, compliant, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Plan and manage a structured schedule of customer meetings, appointments, and site visits to drive pipeline generation, maintain market presence, and support consistent sales activity delivery.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with Filoform’s core customer base, acting as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for commercial, technical, and service-related matters.
  • Present Filoform’s products and solutions in a clear and compelling way, identifying customer needs, translating them into tailored solutions, and ensuring strong commercial outcomes.
  • Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts through cross-selling, upselling, and project-based opportunities, supporting customers across infrastructure developments and long-term programmes.
  • Create structured account plans aligned to regional and business strategy, setting clear objectives, growth targets, and action plans to maximise revenue and market share.
  • Track sales performance, pipeline activity, and customer engagement metrics, taking proactive action to improve performance and ensure delivery against targets.
  • Act as the escalation point for customer concerns, working cross-functionally to resolve issues quickly, maintain service levels, and protect long-term relationships.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as directed by the Sales Manager and Sales Director, contributing to broader commercial initiatives, projects, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Collaborate with internal commercial teams across Cubis Systems, NAL, and Filoform to identify and convert cross-business opportunities.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to expand customer spend by introducing complementary products and solutions across the wider IPE portfolio.
  • Position Filoform offerings within a broader solutions-based approach to maximise customer value and revenue growth.
  • Maintain a structured and disciplined approach to pipeline management, ensuring all opportunities are accurately tracked within CRM systems.
  • Support new customers through a structured onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition from sales to delivery.
  • All other duties as deemed necessary by the Sales Manager.

The experience our new Key Account Manager will have includes

  • HBO level education
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Key Account Management position
  • Experience in contract, renewal management, and tender processes within the Netherlands; European experience in this area would be advantageous
  • Fluency in Dutch and English, both written and verbal
  • Driver’s licence B
  • Experience in managing key accounts
  • Experience in the energy and infrastructure products sector or a similar field
  • Extensive business-to-business (B2B) experience
  • Strong relationship-building and customer focus
  • Commercial awareness and negotiation ability
  • Strategic planning and account management
  • Resilience and ability to work in dynamic environments
  • Collaboration and stakeholder management
  • Results-driven with high energy and initiative
