As Lead Content Strategy at Booking.com, you own the end-to-end strategy behind how the company communicates and engages with accommodation partners: from the narratives built to the way they land across self-serve digital channels. You connect Booking.com’s commercial needs with what partners need to operate and grow on the platform, translating that into content strategies that drive real behaviour change: more product adoption, stronger partner satisfaction, and fewer support contacts.

This is a role for someone who thinks strategically in systems, not just digital campaigns. You will set direction, define what to say and why, secure stakeholder buy-in, and make sure content has measurable impact across the full partner journey — tailored to where a partner is, what they need, and how they engage. You will also help shape this in an AI-first way, using data, personalised insights, and AI tooling to understand different partner audiences at scale and build strategies that are more relevant and impactful.

This role is not for everyone

  • You’re looking for a hands-on writing role. There is already a talented team of copywriters and content creators who craft the narrative.
  • You prefer to own the technical deployment and production of content. This role partners with a dedicated Content Management team that brings strategies to life, so you can stay focused on setting strategic direction.
  • You’d rather work in isolation. The role requires someone who thrives on collaborating, educating stakeholders, and selling a strategic vision across the organization.
  • You’re resistant to experimentation or using AI tools. The team is pushing the boundaries of content strategy, using a fail-fast mindset and GenAI to drive velocity and impact.

Key Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Own the overarching content strategy and definition of partner-facing narratives, resulting in partner-centric content experiences that drive partner satisfaction and product adoption while decreasing support tickets.
  • Own performance targets focused on engagement and impact KPIs for the Digital Partner content team, and provide insights and actions on annual business targets.
  • Integrate AI-powered approaches into content strategy development and execution. Use AI and data to gain deep partner insights, identify pain points, and create personalized narratives for every stage of the partner journey. Accelerate hypothesis cycles and testing to refine strategies continuously. Define AI-augmented, insight-driven strategy in practice while building team capabilities, with a hands-on, test-and-learn mindset and the ambition to scale success.
  • Manage and prioritize a backlog of hypotheses and projects based on business impact and partner impact, ensuring timely delivery and efficient allocation of resources.
  • Lead complex projects, ensuring alignment with stakeholder goals and partner needs while managing dependencies and barriers. Foster collaboration across teams, communicate outcomes and learnings, and validate and monitor project results to drive continuous improvement.
  • Foster enhanced stakeholder collaboration by actively engaging key stakeholders and ensuring alignment with performance indicators and goals to drive meaningful outcomes.
  • Conduct basic analysis of performance, commercial, and market data to derive commercial insights and define hypotheses.
  • Be seen as an authority in your craft by sharing knowledge and insights, guiding, consulting, educating, and supporting team members within and outside the department.
  • Serve as the voice of partners within the organization, advocating for their needs and perspectives.

Role Qualifications and Requirements

  • 5+ years of work experience in Marketing, Digital Marketing, or Content Marketing in a complex matrix organization.
  • Proven track record of using customer insights, in this case partner insights, to understand partners.
  • Expertise in leveraging GenAI and data analytics to derive partner insights, set strategic direction, and execute iterative, test-and-learn content strategies at scale.
  • Data literacy and the ability to use data to build actionable insights.
  • Experience working in a sizable marketing environment, preferably in a multinational B-to-B context, marketplace, or platform.
  • Business acumen to quickly understand Booking.com’s objectives and key results, partner and consumer perspectives, and how all parts of the company work together to realize ambitions.
  • Strong and resilient team player with a high degree of flexibility, problem-solving ability, and positive communication that motivates and influences achievement of team objectives.
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently.
  • Ability to manage parallel tracks and expectations for project scope changes, identify intersection points, and mitigate risks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that changes rapidly.
  • Self-starter with the ability to collaborate across teams and parts of the organisation to deliver results.
  • Creative thinker with excellent analytical skills and a learning mindset.

Benefits & Perks

  • Annual paid time off and generous paid leave scheme including parent, grandparent, bereavement, and care leave.
  • Hybrid working including flexible working arrangements, and up to 20 days per year working from abroad (home country).
  • Industry-leading product discounts of up to 1400 per year for yourself, including automatic Genius Level 3 status and Booking.com wallet credit.
