Product Manager Data Management Team

Do you want to work with data, improve controls of the bank and be part of a squad that plays a central role in a continuously changing environment? In this role you will have the opportunity to help set up the data framework for the Tribe and work on implementing and/or guiding others to find solutions to ensure that as a Tribe we are in control of our data.

You and your job

As a Product Manager / Data Steward you will be part of the Data Management & Data Products within Markets and Treasury Tribe & Service Centre. As part of this team you will be in contact with different teams working on system development for systems used in either the Markets, or the Treasury departments for trade booking, processing and reporting. Next to that, you will act as a bridge between them and the central Data Management related teams providing guidance.

You will act as a coach on Data Management related activities, increase awareness on Data Management as a topic, and will play a key role in activities like Data Issue Coordination.

Top responsibilities

• Driving the implementation of Rabobank’s standard on Data Management for Markets and Treasury Tribe & Service Centre to ensure compliancy with BCBS239 regulation
• Monitoring of data quality to identify data issues early on
• Development and maintenance a Logical Data that helps teams use consistent definitions and speak a common data language
• Coordination of Data Issues to help both Issue Raisers and Issue Owners actively resolve issues

You and your talent

You are an experienced Data Management or Data Governance professional with a strong understanding of Financial Markets. You are comfortable working at the intersection of business, regulation and technology, and you know how to translate Data Management requirements into effective controls and practical implementation.

To be successful in this role, you meet the following requirements:

Must-haves

• Proven experience in Data Management and/or Data Governance.
• Experience in Financial Markets and/or with products traded by Markets & Treasury.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. You can work effectively with business representatives, data consumers, IT and development teams, management and Audit.
• The ability to work on business and regulatory requirements as well as the technical implementation of Data Management controls.
• A structured and detail-oriented way of working. This is essential because the role involves maintaining a control framework in a regulated environment.
• The ability to switch quickly between multiple systems, stakeholders and topics, often within the same working day.
• A result-oriented mindset. You plan deliverables ahead, make progress transparent and take ownership of achieving results.
• The confidence to challenge stakeholders, raise concerns and actively advocate for Data Management standards.

Nice to have

• A basic understanding of IT and data principles, including SQL.
• Experience with Data Quality monitoring, preferably using SQL queries in a Databricks environment.
• The ability to understand and coordinate the investigation of potential root causes of data issues.
