Senior SAP Autorisatie Specialist & Coach
As Senior SAP authorization consultant you are an active member of the DevOps team, working closely with other disciplines and roles. Together with Architecture, Tech lead, DevOps teams and Product Owners, you will optimise, design and maintain authorisation solutions for the various SAP applications within our bank. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus) and are proactive in support and communication. You tend to prevent things before they occur and have a go see mentality.

- Mentor and coach juniors and mediors within the team, proactively sharing knowledge and helping the team grow to a higher level.
- Setting up and maintaining authorisation concepts for various SAP applications.
- Pioneering new tooling and configure it.
- Keep our systems secure; explain and follow Rabo policies and help with audits.
You & your talent
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Senior SAP Autorisatie Specialist & Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep and broad knowledge in the SAP Security subject.
Responsibilities and requirements
- Design and implement robust, scalable authorization concepts across SAP ABAP, SAP JAVA and SAP S/4TRBK systems, with a strong focus on technical architecture and system-level compliance.
- Manage, maintain and develop SAP ABAP users, roles, and profiles, including complex role structures and technical role derivation.
- Manage user and role provisioning in SAP HANA Database, including repository-based development.
- Collaborate with technical teams (Basis, Development, Integration) to align access control with system architecture.
- Support audit and compliance efforts with technical documentation, SoD analysis, and traceability across environments.
- Contribute to the development of reusable security templates, automation, and governance frameworks.
- Perform deep-dive troubleshooting.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in SAP authorization management, with a strong technical orientation.
- Deep understanding of SAP security architecture, including role design, user provisioning, and system-level access control.
- Proven experience with SAP GRC configuration including workflow.
- Proven experience with Cloud Identity Services provisioning.
- Solid knowledge of SAP HANA Database security, including repository roles and schema-level access.
- Experience with SAP BTP platform, SAP BTP platform services and its technical security models.
- Proficient in using SAP tools for troubleshooting and analysis.
- Ability to work independently in a technical consulting role, with minimal functional guidance.
Nice-to-have
- SAP certification in Security & Authorizations or SAP Technology.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices in SAP landscapes.
- Familiarity with Security Bridge tooling.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Knowledge of cloud security principles and hybrid identity management.
- Understanding of compliance frameworks such as GDPR, ISO 27001, or SOX.
