You & your role

As a (Senior) Crisis Management Expert, you contribute to Rabobank’s preparedness for, response to and recovery from disruptive events or crises. You help develop and maintain crisis management frameworks, procedures and playbooks, support crisis exercises and readiness activities, and advise crisis teams during incidents. By ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and supervisory expectations, and by working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you help strengthen resilience, protect critical operations, maintain stakeholder confidence, and support financial stability during disruptive events and crises.

Examples from practice

  • You act as a trusted expert on crisis readiness, identifying developments that could impact Rabobank and driving initiatives that enhance crisis readiness before disruptions occur.
  • You drive crisis management training and exercising programmes for senior leaders and crisis teams, strengthening crisis leadership, decision-making and organisational preparedness.
  • During a major incident or crisis, you support crisis leadership by maintaining situational awareness, coordinating information flows and helping ensure an effective and timely response across the bank.

Top 3 responsibilities

  1. Contribute to the continuous enhancement of Rabobank’s crisis management capability by driving initiatives that strengthen crisis readiness, response and recovery across the bank, taking into account emerging risks, industry developments and best practices across the wider financial sector.
  2. Act as a trusted advisor to crisis leadership during major incidents and crises, providing expert guidance, strategic challenge and actionable insights to support effective decision-making and response coordination.
  3. Strengthen crisis management oversight through reporting, lessons learned, after-action reviews and expert challenge, driving continuous improvement of crisis readiness and response capabilities.

As part of the Crisis Office within Business Resilience, you help drive initiatives that improve crisis readiness, support effective crisis coordination and strengthen decision-making during disruptive events.
