Play a key role in the transformation to Value Stream Technology (VST) by enabling proactive steering, structured execution and stronger governance. As Technology Management Control Consultant, you act as a trusted sparring partner to the Value Domain Cluster Lead and help drive clarity, control and performance within your value domain. You translate VST priorities into actionable plans and act as the link between the value domain and the broader VST governance and management framework by establishing effective feedback loops and escalating risks, dependencies and opportunities through the appropriate governance channels when needed.

The Technology Management Control Consultant is a key driver of the management control system within the value domain and helps ensure the timely, accurate and high-quality delivery of management deliverables, reporting and governance activities. The Technology Management Control Consultant drives the management reporting and management deliverable process within the value domain, ensuring structure, transparency and alignment across stakeholders. In addition, the Technology Management Control Consultant supports tactical value domain initiatives such as roadmap development, mission and vision sessions, information requests and continuous improvement initiatives. Success in this role means helping Value Domain Cluster Leads and leadership teams become better informed, better prepared and more in control by bringing structure, insights, governance and follow-up to the value domain.

Your job

The Technology Management Control Consultant combines advisory and steering responsibilities and acts as a primary counterpart to the Value Domain Cluster Lead. The role focuses on translating VST priorities and Chief Technology Officer/staff-level governance decisions into actionable plans, strengthening the management control system at value domain level and driving structured ways of working. You act as the link between the value domain and the broader VST governance and management framework, bringing clarity, challenge and direction in a rapidly evolving IT environment.

Your main activities are:

  • Act as trusted sparring partner to Value Domain Cluster Leads
  • Translate VST priorities and CTO/staff-level governance decisions into actionable plans
  • Combine advising with active guidance on planning, structure and follow-up
  • Drive structured execution, planning and reporting
  • Proactively steer on management information, reporting and insights
  • Drive the management control system at value domain level
  • Challenge and influence priorities, decisions and direction
  • Facilitate alignment between the value domain and the broader VST organization
  • Establish and maintain effective feedback loops and escalate risks, dependencies and opportunities when needed
  • Identify opportunities to improve structure, efficiency and transparency
  • Independently prepare management presentations, decision materials and MT content
  • Maintain and actively steer the Value Domain Rolling Calendar
  • Ensure timely preparation and follow-up of management meetings, Monthly Business Reviews, reporting cycles, and management deliverables
  • Act as the central coordinator for management reporting within the value domain, ensuring alignment, transparency, and timely delivery
  • Collaborate with the Management Control System Platform Owner to drive standardization, automation, and AI-enabled process improvements
  • Identify opportunities to simplify and improve management control processes and ways of working
  • Lead or support tactical value domain initiatives, including roadmap development, mission & vision workshops, information requests, and continuous improvement initiatives

Working environment

Value Stream Technology provides the foundational IT infrastructure enabling digitalization, applications, data, AI and security. VST consists of several value domains, including Governance & Organization. As a Value Domain Enabler, you will work within one of these value domains while being part of the Governance & Organization Enablement team. Governance & Organization Enablement connects strategy and execution and acts as a linking pin between the VST Management Team and the value domains. The Governance & Organization Enablement team focuses on increasing decision speed, reducing complexity and strengthening structure and standardization.

Your profile

  • Bachelor's degree (Hbo level) and at least 5 years of experience in governance, management reporting, portfolio management, business management, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders and leadership teams, confidently challenging perspectives and influencing decision-making.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and intellectually curious, with a strong ability to create structure, set priorities, ensure follow-through, and translate strategy into actionable results.
  • Strong communicator with excellent presentation skills, comfortable speaking up, facilitating discussions, and engaging diverse audiences.
  • Quick to grasp complex topics and navigate dynamic environments while maintaining focus, structure, and a results-oriented approach.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken; proficiency in Dutch is highly desirable.
