Careers at AkzoNobel

About the role

Are you a commercially driven sales professional who knows how to open doors, build strong relationships and turn opportunities into long-term business? Do you enjoy working with complex organisations and engaging with stakeholders at both strategic and operational levels?

As Key Account Manager – MSO & Automotive Networks, you will play a key role in driving growth by winning new business within major automotive networks and expanding our presence across the market. You will focus on organisations such as ABS Autoherstel and A.A.S. Schadeherstel, MSO’s and other key accounts, while also identifying and developing opportunities with networks where we do not yet have an established relationship yet.

You will take ownership of the complete sales cycle – from identifying and qualifying prospects to building relationships, negotiating agreements and securing new business.

As Key Account Manager, you will:

  • Develop and execute strategies to win new business and establish AkzoNobel as a preferred partner within new automotive networks.
  • Grow our share of wallet within existing networks and identify opportunities for further commercial expansion.
  • Identify, target and win new MSOs and key accounts with high growth potential.
  • Build, manage and continuously develop a strong and valuable sales pipeline.
  • Establish and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, from operational contacts to senior decision-makers at headquarters.
  • Lead the sales process end-to-end, from prospecting and opportunity development through negotiation and closing.
  • Develop a strong understanding of customer needs and translate these into commercially attractive solutions.
  • Negotiate effectively and make sound commercial decisions within the applicable authorization framework.
  • Maintain accurate CRM information, pipeline management and sales forecasts.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure a strong customer proposition and successful implementation of new business.

What you bring

We are looking for a commercially strong and relationship-oriented sales professional who is motivated by winning new business.

  • A proven track record in winning new business, preferably within the automotive industry.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
  • Strong commercial, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both senior decision-makers and operational stakeholders.
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to identify and create new business opportunities.
  • Strong pipeline management skills and a disciplined approach to CRM and sales forecasting.
  • The ability to work independently, prioritise effectively and take ownership of results.
  • A customer-focused approach combined with a strong commercial drive.

Why AkzoNobel?

At AkzoNobel, we believe that our success starts with our people. You will join an international organisation where you can make a visible impact by helping customers grow while contributing to the continued development of our business in the automotive market.

If you are driven by winning, building relationships and creating new business, we would love to hear from you.
