How you create impact

The Process Engineer plays a key role in steering the daily operations within an automated environment. Working closely with the Senior Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the design, development, and operational success of the automated portfolio within this branch.

• Ensure smooth and efficient automation processes with the correct WMS/WCS setup, working closely with integrators, their support departments, and our soft/hardware specialists.
• Work proactively with the customer to anticipate business changes, such as new SKUs and seasonal fluctuations, and balance loads to support the performance of the automated solution and help maintain the operational cadence.
• Translate operational needs, driven by KPIs, to suppliers and relevant internal stakeholders such as Facility, QSHE, IS, and Continuous Improvement teams.
• Develop automated solutions together with internal and external teams of experts to meet future engineering demands related to business changes and growth.
• In close cooperation with Solutions Engineers, execute changes, continuous improvement projects, and govern layouts and flows of the automated warehouse segments to deliver the best-suited end-to-end logistics solution.
• Train key users and maintain their WMS/WCS proficiency and troubleshooting capabilities.

What we would like you to bring

• Relevant engineering experience within production, warehousing, or engineering, preferably in an automated environment, along with strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
• Broad knowledge of different information technology topics and the ability to understand, control, and influence all aspects of a complex technical setup.
• A true team-player mindset with effective interpersonal skills and the ability to take the lead in project meetings.
• Comfort with ambiguity and stepping out of your comfort zone while acquiring new skills.
• Fluent English communication skills; Dutch is preferable, and French would be considered an asset.
• Knowledge of Swisslog and BlueYonder is a plus.
