As a Technical Integration Consultant, you help keep our HR landscape running for more than 100,000 colleagues across Albert Heijn, Etos, Gall & Gall and Albert Heijn Belgium. You use your technical integration knowledge to guide solution design, challenge assumptions and help development teams deliver the right solutions.

What you will do.

  • You organize and facilitate sessions between stakeholders and Tech colleagues, including Product Owners, developers and architects.
  • You translate business requests into clear, workable technical designs.
  • You guide the end-to-end process of designing, building, testing and deploying integrations, together with the DevOps team that develops them.
  • You keep the technical big picture in mind and make sure every step fits into a solid end-to-end solution.
  • You make sure all teams involved in the process are aligned, engaged and informed.
  • You contribute to the daily maintenance and continuous improvement of our integrations and HR applications.

What this means for you.

As a Technical Integration Consultant, you play a central role in keeping the full employee lifecycle running smoothly and making it future-proof for more than 100,000 colleagues. You make sure HR data flows correctly through all systems that rely on it, from planning to supply chain, e-commerce and the HR apps managed by your team.

You quickly get to the heart of the question and help guide the team towards the right solution. Based on your analysis, you make clear recommendations and help the team make well-founded decisions. You also make sure all relevant Tech teams are fully aligned with the chosen solution and contribute to an end-to-end solution that works both technically and functionally.

Your new team and office.

Our HR landscape includes more than 20 HR applications and forms the core of our HR service delivery. You will be part of the team responsible for the Dutch HR apps, as well as all integrations from our HR Core system to other platforms. This includes operational apps within supply chain and e-commerce, as well as applications used by Etos and Gall & Gall.

Within AH Tech HR, you work in the heart of a complex and fast-moving environment. Together with your team, you help keep HR data reliable, complete and available on time for all systems that depend on it.

You work closely with Product Owners, Developers, Architects and stakeholders from both the business and the global and European HR organizations. Together, you connect functional questions from HR and operational teams with the technical solutions of our platforms.

You will join a self-managing and multidisciplinary team consisting of a Product Owner, solution consultant and engineers. There is plenty of room to work on projects based on interest and expertise. Together, you build a solid and future-proof HR technology landscape.

What you bring.

  • Experience with technical integrations in HR Tech or other complex IT environments, or a technical background in software engineering, enterprise applications, or IT. You are eager to further develop your expertise in the integration domain.
  • Affinity with Microsoft Azure and GitHub, and the drive to keep growing your skills in this stack. Hands-on experience is a plus, but curiosity and eagerness to dive in are just as important.
  • Good understanding of integration concepts, patterns and technologies such as REST/SOAP APIs, event streaming, batch vs. real-time data flows, and authentication standards such as OAuth and SSO.
  • A team-player mindset: you thrive in a setup where a DevOps team builds the integrations while you guide solution design, own the functional-to-technical translation, and ensure stakeholder alignment.
  • You can easily switch between functional questions and technical solutions, and you know how to bridge the two.
  • Strong communication skills — you can hold your own with stakeholders, Product Owners, developers and architects alike.
  • Experience working in Agile / DevOps environments.
