Our business unit Demcon industrial systems (DIS) develops and delivers a wide variety of projects for the market of complex machinery and equipment. These projects range from partial developments and proof-of-principle setups to complete machines and fully integrated system solutions for industrial customers.

For our office in Groningen, we are looking for a versatile, enthusiastic, and motivated junior software engineer.

What are you going to do?

As a Junior software engineer, you will work on a wide variety of technical challenges. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team and contribute to diverse projects, working closely with colleagues from both your own discipline and other engineering domains.

Your primary focus will be on developing concepts and designing, testing, and commissioning machine control systems. To do this, you will work with BRIX, our machine control platform based on TwinCAT 3 and Beckhoff hardware.

In addition, you may be involved in software-related projects at the intersection of machine control, machine vision, data science, and artificial intelligence. This provides an excellent opportunity to broaden your expertise and gain experience with a wide range of technologies and applications within advanced mechatronic systems.

What do you bring to the table?

• A completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a software-related technical field;
• A broad and inquisitive interest in technology and engineering;
• Affinity with software engineering;
• Experience with object-oriented software development is considered an advantage;
• Experience with TwinCAT 3 and Beckhoff hardware is considered an advantage.
