Project Engineering Management Lead – Zoetermeer fulltime

This role is part of our Specialized Nutrition factory located in Zoetermeer. In this factory (with over 600 Danoners) we produce specialized liquid medical nutrition contributing to the well-being of vulnerable target groups (infants, elderly and sick) in over 55 countries.

Responsible for the CAPEX Project Execution process in Supply Point Zoetermeer, and ensuring the quality of the Project delivery of a team of Project Leads.

  • Owns CAPEX Project Management Process for Supply Point Zoetermeer, including standardization and incorporation of best practices through effective deployment of Sherpa and IWS Initiative Management;
  • Lead a team of Engineering Project Leads and provide regular guidance on how to progress the Projects they are managing;
  • Coach Project Leads on Stakeholder management in order to be able to get good alignment to the scope at the start of the Project and avoid later unjustified scope creep;
  • Establish and maintain agreements on Project ways of working between P&E and other departments in SPZ/wider Danone Engineering Community;
  • Defining effective (digital) tools to aid Project Leads in the Project Management process.

About you

In order to be successful in the role of Project Engineering Management Lead, we expect you to have:

  • 5+ years Engineering experience in Foods/ Medical manufacturing industry
  • Proven track record of delivering CAPEX Projects to a high standard
  • Expertise in Project Management methodologies such as Sherpa
  • Strong people management skills and ability to develop talent
  • Line management of Engineering / technical functions
  • Good knowledge of other manufacturing functions and how cross-functional teams interact
  • Passion for improving processes and ways of working
  • Sound knowledge of digital Project Management Tools (e.g. Asana)
  • Ability to manage stakeholders with different interests and communicate clearly key messages.
  • Be onsite for at least 4 days per week
