For the Postal Agreements (PA) department we are looking for a Postal Agreements Manager. PostNL is active in the highly competitive market for distribution of cross border mail and parcels. Within the PostNL International Network Solutions (PINS) department, the Postal Agreements team is responsible for all import and export of letter mail and parcels through the postal network. With all countries worldwide, contracts are closed to make sure this can be done under the best possible conditions. These negotiations are complex and need a high degree of creativity and commercial thinking. Because negotiations are based on complex models, experience in working with numbers is necessary.
As a Postal Agreements Manager, you are in contact with various other departments within PostNL. Next to this, you intensively maintain a worldwide network of relations. It is your challenge to make sure contract negotiations run smoothly and commitments are being honored. Of course, your objective is the best possible result!

Focus points:

• Model based preparation of, and participation in multi-bilateral negotiations.
• Contract management of closed agreements, in cooperation with other departments.
• Correct implementation of closed agreements and assure compliance.
• Defend the interests of PostNL within international bodies like the Universal Postal Union.
• Responsible for maximizing revenue of all our business with your Designated Operators.

About the team
You'll join the Postal Agreements (PA) team within PostNL International Network Solutions (PINS). Together with 9 experienced colleagues, you'll work closely with Sales and cross-functional teams to negotiate international agreements that support PostNL's global business in more than 190 countries.

• A gross monthly salary between €4.865, - and €6.890, - (based on 39.25 hours per week), on a scale 11;

Your profile

• Academic level of education, preferably Economics or Econometrics;
• At least 3-5 years of relevant working experience within an international organization;
• Highly number and modelling literate to structure complex negotiations with high financial impact;
• Strong social skills to make connections;
• Helicopter view on organizational impact of closed contracts;
• AI literacy, including the ability to work effectively with generative AI tools and apply prompting techniques to support analysis, preparation and decision-making.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal;
• Willingness to travel.
